Detroit Mercy gives back during holiday break

University of Detroit Mercy’s community of employees and students adopted 11 families with 44 children for the holidays thanks to the coordination of Public Safety Sergeant Sean Bacon and his department. More than 200 gifts were collected and delivered, Dec. 18, including toy and clothing donations through the University Giving Tree, book donations from Rx for Reading Detroit, monetary donations, and individual family adoptions from departments, employees and students.

Each child had something to read, something to keep them warm, something to wear, and something to play with thanks to your generosity and kindness.Detroit Merct Adopt-a-Famly 2019 Group
