Cal Freeman poetry reading from new book, April 6

Cal Freeman will read from his new book of poetry, Poolside at the Dearborn Inn, in the McNichols Campus Library on the second floor, Bargman Room. The free, public event is set for Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m.

After the reading, Detroit Mercy’s English Department will present inaugural scholarships honoring the late John Freeman, a beloved member of the department for 33 years. Awarded annually for English majors or minors in their sophomore or junior years, the John C. Freeman Scholarship will honor John’s deep dedication to the success of Detroit Mercy students.
