A video recording of the virtual discussion on “Climate Destruction,” sponsored by the Catholic Studies program on July 14 is now available to watch on the Detroit Mercy YouTube channel.
The panel presentation on environmental justice in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling in West Virginia v. the EPA featured Sr. Karen Donahue, RSM, a member of the Sisters of Mercy Justice team; Detroit Mercy Associate Professor of Law Nicholas Schroeck; Theresa Landrum, veteran environmental activist from Detroit 48217, Detroit Mercy Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Matt Mio; and Fr. Si Hendry, S.J., director of Detroit Mercy’s Catholic Studies program.
The discussion lasted for more than 70 minutes and addresses concerns about the climate crisis.
