Travel to India with Detroit Mercy: Learn more during informational session, Sept. 22

Learn about how you can travel to India with Detroit Mercy during an in-person information session at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 in the Briggs Building, Room 105. The trip to India with the University is scheduled for May 2023.

Students of all majors, as well as Detroit Mercy employees and alumni, are welcome to travel to India with Detroit Mercy’s History Department and are welcome to attend the informational session.

The nine-day tour of India will be with local expert guides, who will take you deeper into the culture, past and present. Journey to India’s Golden Triangle — Jaipur, New Delhi and Agra.

Students who are College of Liberal Arts & Education (CLAE) majors or minors can receive travel grants that cover a substantial portion of travel costs. History majors qualify for an additional competitive award. To prepare students for travel, Associate Professor of History Diane Robinson-Dunn will offer a three-credit course on history this winter with an emphasis on cultural encounters and exchanges.
