Student collective ideas increase awareness about climate change, heath

Detroit Mercy Health Services Administration students helped raise awareness about climate change and health recently in Manistee, Mich., exhibiting posters at the Great Lakes Environmental Festival on Friday and Saturday, April 21-22.

The poster, Plastic Air Pollution, was created by students Kendall Avis, Ryann Glenn, Mariam Korkees and Ryan Parlante explained how air polluted with plastics contributes to health problems.

The poster, Extreme Temperature and Your Health, was created by Tanya Greer, Tayler Hood, Xavier Martin and Kyndal Wofford, explained how greenhouse gases are contributing to climate change.

The poster presentations offered solutions to these ongoing health threats. They were created in HSA 3450 and guided by Health Services Administration faculty Zigmond Kozicki.
